When can losing an insurance policy be a problem?
Despite the fact that we live in the age of scientific and technological progress and constant communication with the Internet is not unless the backless stools, Bulgarian insurance companies insist on providing a copy of the insurance policy when applying for reimbursement. Also, you need to know the number of the insurance policy when contacting the insurance company. If the number of the policy can be dealt with fairly quickly, because it should be recorded in a memo and stored in an accessible place, then with the provision of copies of insurance policies, you can lose a couple of days, which will take to restore the document.
We strongly recommend that you keep copies of your policies in a safe place so that you do not waste time recovering these documents if necessary.
How to restore a copy or the original insurance policy?
The first way is to contact the insurance agent or broker who provided you with an insurance policy. As a rule, a copy of the policy must be kept by them for reporting or for cases of requests for the restoration of policies. Even if the policy of the organization that sold it is not “at hand”, they can contact the insurance company and quickly restore the copy or the original.
The second way – contact the insurance company whose policy you purchased. Regardless of whether you bought the policy directly from the insurance company or from a broker / agent, your policy must be present in the company’s database, and they can easily restore a copy for you. At the same time, the second method is longer, since the level of bureaucracy of insurance companies is much higher than that of agents or brokers.
